april showers

WOW! time is a flying. tuesday will be 3 weeks until my due date! sorry it's been so long since i've posted something. it's been all about last minute finishing touches in the nursery, and baby showers galore! there is so much love for this baby it's amazing! i am so fortunate to have such amazing friends and family in my life. the amount of time, energy, and love that went into the planning of this party makes me so grateful for all those in our life! ok sorry... i'm pregnant and very emotional, now check out some of the pics from our "green" jack and jill shower!

34 weeks!

today our baby is 34 weeks in utero! i can't believe i've been pregnant for 8 1/2 months. sharing the same living space with this little one has given me time to pick up on all the babies patterns. here's just to name a few:

• moves around if i'm hungry or i just ate, especially after a sweet treat.
• likes to poke out my right side, don't know if it's a foot or a knee.
• i can tell when they have the hiccups, which is so sweet but for some reason makes me sad
• sleeps when i sleep...for now

mid-summer night

this warm weather has been making me daydream a lot, especially at work. with only 7 weeks to go, all i do is think about the arrival of our baby. i cant wait to look into their eyes for the first time. i wonder how amazing that moment is going to be. i also think about all the things i want to do with the baby, the list is endless. today i was daydreaming about one of those warm, gorgeous, summer nights, where the sun is just about to set. the baby strapped to daddy, with their little feet dangling below, and us walking into town and stopping at red mango, one of my new in town obsessions. you know food was involved somehow.

i want to use this fabric for the curtains. thank goodness for mom's great sewing skills. that's one skill i did not inherit from her.

my mom came up this past weekend and helped me paint the nursery. we had so much fun! we still have a little more to do like paint the tree behind foxy, and carry the trees up above the moulding. i think the baby will enjoy his/her new family of woodland friends.

nursery ideas

we got all the registering done and now its time to work on the room.

was thinking about this wall treatment for the bambino's room. instead of birds i would do wood land animals. some of our favs like squirrels, foxes, and raccoons oh my!
